At We Are RAM Construction, we don’t just talk about giving back, we get stuck in and make it happen. Last year, we teamed up with two local schools to give students a real taste of life in construction with week work experience placements split between our office and on-site projects.
We’ve also welcomed a college student who joins us twice a week as part of his studies to become a project manager, gaining valuable time both in the office and getting hands-on with the tools. That’s how you learn the trade properly, right?
🏗 Learning on the Job
Whether it’s helping in the office with admin and planning, or getting kitted up and learning about site safety, materials, and the flow of a live job, we’re giving students a full look behind the scenes.
It’s a great way to build confidence, develop practical skills, and hopefully light a spark for a career in construction—whether that’s in bricklaying, carpentry, project management, or something else entirely.
💬 Why It Matters to Us
Supporting young people and guiding them into trades is something we’re seriously proud of. After all, everyone’s got to start somewhere—and if we can be that first step on the ladder, we’re all in.
Plus, who knows? These could be our future apprentices, site managers… maybe even our future directors one day. Gotta start planting the seeds now 🌱
Massive shoutout to the schools, colleges, and students who’ve been part of the RAM journey already—you’ve been a joy to work with, and we can’t wait to keep opening the door for more young talent.
